You will need to reschedule your appointment if you have a rash, cold sores, or blemishes in the area to be injected.

Avoid any anti inflammatory or blood thinning medication prior to treatment.

Schedule your treatment at least 2 weeks prior to any special occasion. Bruising and swelling may occur.

Do not consume any alcoholic beverages 24 hours prior to treatment.

Avoid wearing makeup to your appointment.

Avoid excessive sun exposure or any type of sunburn on related areas of treatment.

Treatment cannot be done within 2 weeks of receiving dental procedures, vaccinations, and/or being treated with antibiotics.

Avoid taking products with an anticoagulant effect such as Vitamin A, Vitamin E, ginkgo, and garlic, for at least 1 week pre-treatment.

Avoid skin treatments for 2 weeks pre-treatment.

Ice will be applied to the skin prior to treatment and local anesthetic is applied 30 minutes prior.

Small needles are used to inject the filler into the desired area.

After the injections there will be some initial swelling that can last between 24-48 hours. Some patients may experience bruising which should subside within 3-7 days.

Some patients notice results within 24 hours of treatment with a median onset time of 3 days.

Results can last 9-18 months with maintenance recommended every 6-18 months.

Avoid makeup for the rest of the day post-treatment.

Avoid firm pressure on the treated area for 2 weeks.

Patients should avoid exercising for 24 hours.

Use a cold compress to help with swelling.

Take antihistamines if you have excess swelling.

Do not touch the injection area for at least 6 hours.

Avoid extreme temperatures for at least 4 hours.
