OVERVIEW

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), also known as a Photofacial, is a non-invasive skin treatment that targets pigmentation, redness, and uneven skin tone using pulses of light energy. It’s ideal for treating sun damage, age spots, chronic flushing, rosacea, broken capillaries, and overall skin discoloration in some skin types.
By gently heating the deeper layers of the skin, IPL breaks up unwanted pigment and stimulates collagen production leaving your skin clearer, brighter, and more evenly toned over time.
With minimal downtime and visible results, IPL is a popular choice for those looking to improve skin clarity and restore a more youthful, radiant complexion. It’s safe for use on the face, neck, chest, and hands making it a versatile solution for skin rejuvenation.

TREATMENT WALKTHROUGH
-
Discontinue use of retinol products at least 3-5 days prior to treatment.
No sun exposure in past 4 weeks or self tanning products.
-
Your Skin Quality Expert will cleanse your skin prior to treatment. A hand piece will be place against the skin and the light will be pulsed onto treatment areas.
You will feel a warm snapping sensation, which may feel mildly uncomfortable.
-
A mild sunburn-like sensation is expected following treatment. This usually lasts 2 – 24 hours, but can persist up to 72 hours depending on the sensitivity of your skin and strength of treatment.
Treated lesions may initially appear raised and/or darker with a reddened perimeter. These lesions will gradually turn darker over 24 – 48 hours, progress to crusting and then start to flake off in 10 – 21 days.
Results can last 6-12 months with proper skin care and sun protection.
We recommend a series of 3 treatments to start, 4 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 3-4 months or as needed.
-
Application of topical Aloe Vera may be soothing to the skin or application of an ice pack at interval of 5–10 minutes until symptoms subside.
The treated area can be gently cleansed and topical bactericidal ointment can be applied if needed.
Do not pick, scratch or remove scabs, this can lead to infection and complications.
Avoid applying cosmetics on or near treated areas for 2-3 days post-treatment.
Avoid hot tubs and any activities that cause excessive perspiration for 2-3 days post-treatment.
